Part of our Arizona trip.

We went to Arizona for a few days and while we were there we went to this animal refuge place. They had a ton of tigers, a lion, and other wild cats. They had monkeys and alot of other animals. It was really hot that day and we were out in the middle of the desert so there wasn't much shade. But we did find a little spot where there were some benches and also these baby deers that were rescued from people who took them from the wild. They were so cute. The one was our friend after a little bit. He kept sucking on fingers. The guy who takes care of them came out when we were by them and he brought them out some bottles so we got to try to feed them but they didn't really want to eat. Even though the one kept sucking on our fingers. All in all it was fun. It was fun to spend time with Gavin after not seeing him for almost a year!

Kyri and the pumpkin patch

We went to the pumpkin patch last night with my dad. We had lots of fun. It was rainy the whole way there but once we got out and went looking it stopped and ended up being perfect. I forgot my camera so I only got pictures on my phone which doesn't take very good pictures but here they are.

She was in punkin heaven!!
She found lots of little pumpkins to put in our wheelbarrow.
This is her favorite one. She wanted to take it into dinner with us afterwards. She keeps saying punkin, punkin!!

My silly little girl

So since I have started making my car seat covers, I had to get our carrier car seat out. Well Kyri has decided to use it as her own little chair. The other day I was making a tutu and she sat in it to watch her all time favorite movie, Mickey Mouse Club House Adventures in Wonderland, and next thing I looked over and she was out. Silly girl. We watch this movie about 7-10 times a day i swear. She will just randomly start singing the song that they sing on there. Or go around saying "OH TOODLES" She is pretty much obsessed.

Sew Simply Sweet!!

So my sister and law and I decided to start our own little business if that is what you want to call it. It's called Sew Simply Sweet. We are going to be making a variety of things. We started a blog. It is sewsimplysweet.blogspot.com. You should check it out. It's nothing big right now but we will be adding more soon. Our prices are going to be reasonable considering that we are making everything and know ourselves that money doesn't grow on trees. :) Katie (my sis in law) lives in Arizona so we are doing it from there and here (Utah). Although some stuff will be just from her. (She is the sewing genius. Not me!!) So check out our blog and if there is anything you like and want to order leave a comment there or here or call me or text me. Any way is just fine. If you like what you see add a link to your blog. Anyone who does will get 15 % off there first purchase. Leave a comment telling me you did and your blog address if I don't already have it. Have a good day!!!

My little Kyri!

So I have been wanting to do a post on Kyri ever since her birthday and have been a slacker. So I am going to do it now. Our little Kyri was born May 22, 2008 at 4:35 a.m. in American Fork Hospital weighing in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches. A year later my little chubba wubba now weighs in at 27 lbs. The average weight of a 2 year old (says Dr. Mumford) and she is 29 1/2 inches. At her 1 year appointment the Dr. said that we didn't need to worry about feeding her vitamin d milk. That we could give her 1 or 2 % or even skim seeing as she already weighs 27 lbs. :) But he is very happy about the way she looks. So am I. I love all of her chub. It's the best. There's nothing like a handful of baby chub! She is so fun these days. She is obsessed with buppies (puppies). She calls everything buppy. If you ask her what the puppy says she "huffs" a couple of times. And sometimes she will pant. She also says mama/mommy, dada/daddy, juice, please, gosh, baby, cracker, cookie, bye bye, kiss, chicken, hot dog and starting on Sunday she started to say bubbles. She is such a little smarty pants. She picks up on things so fast. She loves it when there are other little babies around. I would have to say her best friends right now are Mylie and Zach. She gets excited when they come around. Although she is kind of a bully to them even though they are older than her. She's still the biggest and she knows it. It's her way of showing them how much she loves them I guess. The only kids she hasn't bullied is Attalyn and Ben. They both kinda bullied her. But it's good because she gets to know what if feels like. She loves to dance. It's almost like she can't help herself. Once she hears music she automatically stops what she is doing to sway her bum back and forth with one arm raised in the air or she will bounce and clap her hands. Even if she is sitting. She finds a way to show she is dancing. Her favorite thing to dance to is the song that plays at the starting of the ellen show. She gets so excited when she hears that song. It's probably the highlight of her day. It is definately mine. I love to see how happy she gets over such a little thing. She also loves Handy Manny and pretty much any of the other shows that are on the Disney channel in the mornings. But Manny is by far her fav. It's pretty sad when I end up going to bed singing the songs from Playhouse Disney in my head. :) She is such a good baby. I couldn't have asked for a better one. Well that is my 1 year old for you. We love her so much.
Here are some pictures of her journey so far.

Our Exciting Month of May!!

So we had alot of stuff going on in the month of May. First I got to have a fun day with my girls. Jill was in town and we all wanted to get together before she left again. So me and Kyri, Lacy and her kids, Carrie and her kids, and Jill and her pregnant belly all decided to have a picnic at a park up by Carries house. It was alot of fun. I'm so glad that after so many years of not working together we can all still get together and hang out. No matter how much our lives are changing. Thanks girls for being such good friends. I hope we can be friends for many many many more years. Second, our Jamez got married. We are so happy for him that he found Melissa and that when things started getting serious she decided to stick around and not go on a mission and not tell him that when they kiss it is like kissing a brother. (Poor James) We are happy she is part of the family now. Congrats to them. So because of the wedding we had alot of Brandons family in town. First off Chad, Katie, Mallory, and Benjamin came. We were so excited that they finally got to come for a visit. We hadn't seen them in 6 months. So sad. But we had alot of fun while they were here and Kyri loved playing with her cousins that she has only met 3 times now. We were so so so sad to have to say goodbye to them. Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before we see them again. Nana and Papa Don came and also Grandfather and Abuelita. We hadn't seen any of them in a really long time either so it was exciting to get to see all of them and also for them to get to see Kyri. Also this month Kyri turned 1. I can't even believe it has been a whole year. The time flies by so so fast. She is getting so big and learning new things everyday. I swear she woke up one day saying like 6 different words. She is a little smarty pants. Well this post is getting kinda long and I still want to post some pictures so I will stop typing. Enjoy all the pictures.
Here are all the kids. So cute.
Jordyn, Ryan, Dylan, Kyri, and Mady.
They all had a fun day together.
This is how they really felt about picture time.Kyri and Ben swinging!Reeses the dog hitching a ride home.

The way to make her happy!
I didn't get any pictures of the reception except this one at the end of the night.
Poor Ben and Kyri had a super long day!

My baby is growing up!! :(

So Kyri is turning 1 on Friday. Where has the year gone? It seems just yesterday I was holding my newborn in my arms. I miss those days, but I do love her at this stage. She is such a silly little girl. She is constantly making me laugh throughout the day. Dancing, making a silly scrunched up nose face, or just being her. We had Nicole take her pictures on Saturday for her birhtday. Here are some of my favorite ones.

See what I mean by scrunching up her nose!! :)
Oh man! How can you not love that face! No matter how big of a stinker she is being.
Thanks Nicole for the super cute pictures! :)

The zoo!!

So on Monday we went to the zoo with Sheri, Teague and Zac. It was perfect weather. I love that it is warm outside. Not that it is supposed to stay that way, darn it, but it makes me excited for the day it will!! We had alot of fun. Kyri was really good. She didn't complain much that she had to sit in the stroller most of the time. And even doing that it wore her out. She took a pretty good nap. Even through the train ride. :) Here are some pictures of our day!!
When we first got there this lady was taking out the snow owl so we got to see it up close!!

Us at the elephants

Kyri loved this little monkey because he came right up to the glass for her.

This sloth was just chilling in the trees in the building where the birds freely fly around.

She liked the carousel. Brandon on the other hand did not.

Hanging on tight!

All of us on the train. Like I said Kyri slept the whole train ride and then some!!

When we got home she found the wipes and decided to help herself. Little stinker!
